The vision of Be the Change LGBTQIA+ Community LLC (BTC) is to create a world where LGBTQIA individuals--especially those who are marginalized, incarcerated, or underserved--are fully seen, supported, protected, and empowered to live with dignity, purpose, and equality.
We welcome you to be a part of our community of love and peace where everyone is fully accepted into one family. My name is Tavaria, known as "T" or "Varia." I've been at South Central Correctional Facility for over 10 years and have a strong desire to bring the LGBTQ community together. Be the Change LGBTQ Community is the first openly gay community in the Tennessee prison system. Many in the community are often judged, discriminated against, talked about, let down and even looked over--but just know, that TOGETHER, nothing can stop us from being fully recognized for who we are--and we are PERFECT!
